Legal information

Terms of Service

These terms set out the conditions for using fretwork-guitar.co.uk, the website of Fretwork Guitar Tuition. By accessing or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the site.

The site provides information about guitar tuition and a form for submitting lesson enquiries. It is a reference document, not a contract for lessons — anything you send us about your playing is a request for information, and we reply directly.

Using the site is free and open. Agreeing to these terms is separate from arranging tuition — lessons begin only after you and the studio agree terms directly.

Rules of access

Use of the website

You may use this site for lawful purposes connected with learning about our lessons and making an enquiry. You must not use it in any way that damages, disables or impairs its operation.

You are responsible for ensuring that any information you submit through the enquiry form is accurate and that you are entitled to provide it.

What we ask of you

Read the pages in good faith, use your own details in the form, and tell us if something you sent us later needs correcting.

What you can expect

A working site, plain descriptions of how lessons run, and a reply from a real person when you get in touch during our opening hours.

What a form does

Lesson enquiries

Sending the form starts a conversation, nothing more. It tells us what you play, what you would like to work on, and when you are free.

No lesson slot is reserved

Submitting the enquiry form does not create a contract for lessons and does not reserve a lesson slot. It is a request for information, and any lessons are arranged separately once terms have been agreed directly.

Formats and availability change

Information about lesson formats and availability on this site is provided for general guidance and may change. Ask about your preferred day and style when you write to us and we will confirm what is open.

Arranging lessons afterwards

Once you have our reply, the practical details — session length, frequency, location or online setup, and the tutor's suggestions for your level — are agreed between us directly before anything is confirmed.

You can read more about the formats we run on the Lessons & Formats page, or see what is often asked before a first session on the FAQ page.

How figures reach you

Pricing information

Lesson prices are not published on this website. Details are provided directly in response to an enquiry, and any figures given there are the ones that apply.

On the site

What you will find

Descriptions of lesson formats, the styles and levels we teach, and how a first session usually runs — so you can judge whether the studio suits what you want to learn.

In our reply

What we send back

Current figures for the format you asked about, along with what is included in a session, so you are comparing like with like before you decide anything.

Figures quoted to you directly are the ones that apply to your enquiry. Nothing on this site should be read as a current price list.

Ownership and reuse

Intellectual property

All content on this site, including text, layout and branding, belongs to Fretwork Guitar Tuition or is used with permission. You may not reproduce or republish it without prior written consent, other than for personal, non-commercial reference.

Personal, non-commercial reference covers saving a page for your own reading or sharing a link with someone who is looking for tuition. It does not cover copying our text into another website, republishing lesson descriptions, or using the Fretwork name to imply a partnership that has not been agreed.

If you would like to quote or feature something from the site — a description of a course, for example — write to us first and we will say whether it is fine and how to credit it.

Keeping pages honest

Accuracy of information

We take care to keep the information on this site accurate and current. We do not warrant that every page is free from error or that the content covers every aspect of our services.

Nothing on this site should be relied on as professional advice for a specific situation.

If you spot something that looks out of date — a format we no longer run, or a page that has drifted from how lessons actually work — tell us through the contact details below and we will correct it.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Fretwork Guitar Tuition is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website or reliance on its content.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

In practice this means the site is reading material. Decisions about your own practice, your equipment or your playing should be based on the advice you receive in a lesson or from a suitably qualified professional, not on a web page taken on its own.

Keeping the document current

Changes to these terms

When we revise

We may revise these terms at any time, whether because the way we take enquiries changes or because the law or the site's content changes.

Which version applies

The version published on this page is the current one. There is no archive of older versions kept online, so read this page rather than a copy you saved earlier.

Continued use

Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of them. If you disagree with a revised term, stop using the site.

Which law applies

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

This page sits alongside the rest of the site's reference documents. If you want to know how the studio handles personal information sent through the enquiry form, read the Privacy Policy, and for the small files the site stores in your browser see the Cookie Policy.
